Hello aidpage people! This is certainly a different look and feel! I haven't been on for a while. I'm still working 12/7, but working on cutting down on the hours in next few months.
I did finally move a single mom in to do light housework in exchange for room and board for a few months. They were about to be homeless and had no where to go. All the shelters were full. Children don't belong in a shelter anyway.
They have recently moved out and are staying with family members in another state now and I'm currently looking to replace them. It broke my heart when they moved out, but I'm glad they came.

PLEASE HELP ME! My home was financed with an interest only note. My bank could not roll this loan to a mortgage - they do not write mortgages. I could not secure a mortgage due to low income and poor credit ratings...so I'm now in forclosure. I've lived here for 11 years and desperately wish to stay. I have no family to count on; I don't know what I'll do if/when I need to move.
Hi, My family and I need financial help. We lost our apartment due to mole and have a 3rd baby on the way. We are looking for an house or apartment in the Mobile or Eight Mile or Prichrad Al area. We can only afford to pay $400 to $500 a month. If anybody know of anything that could help other than welfare place let me know. I already tried welfare. Right now we only have $300 to our name and no car. All the apartments in our area that we can afford to pay rent at has very long waiting list. But the places that our size family can fit in we can afford. My husband and I would be so grateful and thankful for anything that anybody could do for us.

impossible it seems for an old single woman on disability to get an apartment .. but if I had kids I would not still be homeless, interesting huh? even if there are units open that are 2 bedrooms,, they will not lease them to me.I searched 4 counties in Kentucky..nothing.
I am a single mom of 2. I didn't start out that way. I was engaged. Had 2 sons and when my 2nd son was 5 months I came home to a letter that basically said He never wanted kids and wasn't coming back. At least not until I took him to court for child support. Then suddenly he wanted full custody. We had purchased a condo at the beginning and the taxes and dues kept going up. I paid part of the mortagage but I could never quite get it all paid. I also pay daycare (I have daycare aid, but I still pay 1/4 of my income). They took the house July 5th. I found a house with a long term lease a large yard and a forest on the property. 3 weeks ago I came home from work and the trees were gone. Last weekend they took the driveway. I had to drive around on the grass to get to the house. Now the landlord wants to bring in an appraiser tommorrow. The house is a mess. Between the holiday and then both my sons got sick I haven't even done dishes in 2 days. My landlord has been randomly showing up and "checking" on the house since I moved in. He's really creepy. I'm a private person. I knew the names of my neighbors at my condo but that's it. I didn't socialize with them. I have to find somewhere to live now, but it's christmas. I've checked everywhere and I can't find anything I can afford. I make good money but it's not enough to pay for a 2 bedroom and daycare and no one will rent me a 1 bedroom because there are 3 of us. I can't afford a lawyer to fight him. Ive spent the last 2 days in tears. I though foreclosure was stressfull, but not compared to this. My son just started kindegarten. There is nothing in his school district. I'm going to have to move him in the middle of the year. and that makes me feel guilty and depressed and pissed off. But I also feel helpless. Lawyers won't even meet with me because I can't afford to hire them. I just want somewhere we can stay. Somewhere they won't take away. And I have no idea where to go.
I am a victim of domestic violence and am about to lose my apartment because my rent is over due,public assistance denied me and i can only find work for 4to 6 hours a week and i'm in need of help to save my place so that i can transfer to a different housing location.Any advice will help.
I am a divorced single and very proud mother of two. My oldest is in the Navy and married with a child of his own, my youngest is a lovely teen and lives at home with me. I love being her mom. The school's have put alot of pressure on our kids I'm sure most of you are well aware, but I don't know all the things their being taught now, and I can't afford these high prices to have internet for her, I do know they do it for low income. Anyone with some advice? Also I'm looking for affordable housing.

im a single mother with two kids and im homeless i cant seem to find a job i only get food stamps i have no help im living with an aunt and she is moving at the end of the month and at that time i will have no where for me and my kids to go. i cant go to school til i pay for my GED but i cant afford it at the moment in stressing because i dont have an idea of what ima do for my kids. im looking for a low income apartment in houston. the fathers are in jail and dont anything to do with the kids and its harder on me because i have to and everytime something come up something alwaqys come in the way (money). I REALLY NEED HELP for my kids to have a better life so please i need all the support i can get thanks
I am in need of $1000 to secure a place to live for myself and my children as my abusive and selfish husband has not paid the rent and we will soon be evicted. I will have no place to go without this funding as he has had me trapped here and would not allow me to work, but everything is falling apart and our offer for a place is only good if we can come up with first months rent and security deposit.

Hi everybody, I never thought I would be in the situation that I am in now. I am an unemployed dental hygienist living in central Massachusetts. I lost my job over 2 years ago now, and I can't get a job anywhere. Dental offices here are not hiring right now, and there are many dental hygienists out of work. I thought I was in a safe field, but I now understand the first thing a person loses when they lose their job is dental insurance, and others tighten their spending. They don't hire a male my age when they don't have to, younger women will keep patients coming back better. Lower paying jobs will not hire me, because I am over qualified. My wife walk out in the beginning of May when my federal unemployment ran out, and left me with a house and 2 dogs. I had to file Chapter 7 today, 11/5/2011 as my house was due to be auctioned on Tuesday, 11/8, this buys me a little more time only. I am an online student at Vermont Tech. I need some kind of help; I can't live in my car, because I have too many health problems. My license to practice is only good in MA, So, I will need to get licensed for any other. If there is anybody who can help me in any way, I would be most grateful. John
